The UKs favourite Film Characters in 2007

Total film magazine polled thousands of film fans regarding their favourite film character, the results (published in September 2007) are as follows:

1: Johnny Depp's quirky portrayal of Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates Of The Caribbean trilogy.

2: The dark side comes in at number two with Star Wars villain Darth Vader.

3: James Bond, currently played by Daniel Craig, is third favourite.

4: Indiana Jones, the first of two entries for Harrison Ford, is at four.

5: The creepy Gollum from The Lord Of The Rings series is fifth in the poll.

6: Loner Travis Bickle from Taxi Driver, played by Robert De Niro, is the sixth most popular character.

7: Sigourney Weaver's character, Ellen Ripley, in the Alien films is the only female in the Top 10.

8: Mafia mob boss Michael Corleone, played in The Godfather films by Al Pacino, is at eight.

9: The second entry for Harrison Ford and the Star Wars films is Han Solo.

10: Hannibal "the cannibal" Lecter, chillingly played by Sir Anthony Hopkins, makes up the Top 10.
