With regards to question 7, I was looking on Wikipedia to get some background info (for the anoraks in our quiz)and it states that England were threatened with expulsion over a TV deal with Sky and were to be replaced by Italy, but it was resolved without the threat being carried out.

Question 6: The Gold Cup at Cheltenham was last called the Mackeson Gold Cup in 1996 or thereabouts. It has gone through a number of name changes (sponsors) since, and is now the Paddy Power Gold Cup I think
