As of the 2009-2010 football season, the most common suffix for English football league teams is United with 14 (Manchester, West Ham, Newcastle, Peterborough, Sheffield, Sc**thorpe, Carlisle, Hartlepool, Leeds, Colchester, Southend, Hereford, Rotherham and Torquay).
