Gorbachev was, interestlingly, the only President of the Soviet Uniion (although Gennady Yanayev also claimed to be in the 1991 coup). Previous leaders were General Secretaries of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union.

larry holmes didn't knock ali out. ali didn't come out for the 11th round which may be a TKO but, KO implies he took the count. he didn't.
